Augmented Reality Apps

Augmented Reality (AR) technology is used in many different fields. There are literally thousands of applications available today!

Here are some examples of how Augmented Reality applications are currently used -

Archaeology - AR aids research by augmenting archaeological features onto the modern landscape, enabling archaeologists to formulate conclusions about site placements and configurations.

Architecture - AR can aid in visualising building projects. Computer generated images of a structures can be super imposed into a real-life local view of a property before the actual building is constructed.

Describe your learning experience with these applications or other applications that your class may have used.

Education - AR allows students to participate interactively with computer generated simulations such as historical events.

Gaming - AR allows gamers to experience digital game play in real world environments.

Augmented Reality is also used in construction, art, emergency search and rescue, medicine, beauty, military, navigation, sports and entertainment, television, translation, and tourism and sightseeing.
